Inistioge is a picturesque village steeped in history set on the banks of the River Nore in County Kilkenny; whether you're looking to spend a day walking in the fabulous gardens of Woodstock, or an afternoon fishing on the Nore, Inistioge has it all.

Fishing licences are available in the village if you fancy trying to catch a fresh salmon or trout. Don't fancy fishing? Then why not start with a walk along the River Nore taking in one of the oldest arched bridges in Europe and finish with a visit to the towns historic museum and gift shop to find out about the villages colourful history.

Inistioge with its natural beauty has been the backdrop for the odd movie too, you may have heard of the movies 'Circle of Friends' and 'Widows Peak' which transformed the village to it's old style glory.
